How to Stay on Track if You’re Easily Distracted
If you’re like most people, change is hard. Like, really hard.
But before you try to increase your self-discipline or willpower, I’ve found another reason why it seems so hard sometimes to achieve our goals.
Here’s what I’ve found…
There are “contributing actions” you can do that move you toward your goals. And there are “subtracting actions” that take you away from (or postpone) your goals.
And there are about 7 things that need to be in alignment with your goal/vision in order to keep you laser focused.
If these things are not in alignment, your life can fall back into chaos, where you find yourself going in a million different directions, with half-finished projects everywhere, and always working on the loudest or most recent thing in front of you.
Let’s just call that “shiny object syndrome.”
