If it takes over an hour to explain your company's compensation plan, does that make it a pyramid scheme?
That's the argument some skeptics are now making about network marketing. They say, "If it's legit, it must be easy to explain."
But is there any truth to that? That's what we're talking about today.
A "complicated" comp plan does not define a pyramid scheme.
Sales managers and C-suite executives have different responsibilities, like training and retention and growth, thus they are rewarded different compensation plans.
And YES, they're almost always multifaceted and multi-layered, because the company is trying to incentivize different behaviors from its leaders.
Any good compensation plan rewards people for behaviors the owners want repeated.
